Blue skies in Boulder today. Unfortunately it's just a prelude to a substantial chance of snow later this week. Consequently, I'm in the mood for a Monday pick-me-up. Some rosehips cuttings should do the trick.
Since I'm a thrifty girl, Bonne Maman jam jars and Weck glass canning jars are my go-to flower containers. After the family enjoys delicious raspberry preserves, the jars find a new, eco-friendly life.
Happy, happy, joy, joy!
Enjoy the last bits o' fall.
We use these jars for water glasses at our house. This way the kids are exposed to one less plastic item (with possible leaching chemicals) and if the drinking glass breaks, there's another where that one came from. -And I just like the look of them!

Me, too; I love them.
ReplyDeleteI love bonne maman jars too! So funny, i never knew there were others :) They are just so nicely shaped and feel really good quality... I use them as spice jars...
ReplyDeleteAfter you've painted your walls or wooden furniture, the jars are great for keeping touch up paint handy. No guessing involved; you can see the paint through the glass!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Boulder, Colorado, but my best friend almost went to school there and told me it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat is the plant you have in your Bonne Maman jar? It almost looks like tomatoes? Lol
Boulder is pretty cool, but I could do without the snow.
ReplyDeleteThey're rosehips from a rosa rugosa bush (the type with one row of petals).
