Christmas ornaments made from wool felt have such a lovely homespun quality. Plus, they are quick and easy to make.
Find some free stencils on the web and trace onto felt. Cut your pieces and use blanket stitch to outline the ornaments. I think embroidery thread works best.
If you like, embellish the pieces. Clear seed beads enhance the bow, handstitched by yours truly. I love the juxtaposition of sparkle paired with rustic materials.
Make some hot chocolate - or a hot toddy if you prefer - settle in near the fire, and stitch some up for yourself or friends.
Very cute! Love the simplicity and they look easy! What a warm, rustic feel they'd give your tree (OR great hanging tag for a gift).
ReplyDeleteThanks. The ARE very quick and easy. Useful as we speed toward the big day. I love the idea of using them as gift tags.
